The IAAS postgraduate caucus aims to establish links between students of American Studies at third-level institutes across Ireland. In October 2004, as part of its commitment to promoting new research in the field of American Studies, the IAAS committee assigned the running of the annual winter symposium to the postgraduate caucus. Since then, there have been three symposiums dedicated to showcasing the work of postgraduate students (see Conferences page), and it is hoped that the event will continue to be an important fixture in the IAAS calendar. Undergraduates with an interest in American Studies are also encouraged to become involved in the activities of the caucus. For more information, contact the caucus chairs (see the Committee page).
